18 February 2026

O’Reilly Stewart Solicitors have had the pleasure of assisting esteemed restaurateur Naomi Brennan and Nouveau Holywood Limited in preparations of the exciting launch of their modern European restaurant, which opened in Holywood on Friday 23rd January. nouveau offers a menu of high-quality ingredients with a contemporary flair in a carefully curated atmosphere with an inviting drinks menu to choose from.

Conor Cleverley, Solicitor within the Commercial Team assisted with all aspects of the launch of the new restaurant. The first step for the Commercial Team was to incorporate a new company for our client. Our Team offered sound and informative advice to our client in relation to shareholding options and incorporated the new Company in a timely manner.

Once Nouveau Holywood Limited was incorporated, a commercial lease was negotiated by our Commercial Team. Secured in the prime spot of 32 High Street, Holywood, our client received advice from negotiation of the commercial terms to agreement of the lease.

Upon acquisition of the new premises, our client was keen to ensure that the premises would be licensed under the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996. Mr Cleverley assisted in all aspects of obtaining a restaurant licence under Article 5(1)(E) of the Order. From drafting of applications to newspaper advertisements to Court advocacy, our Licensing Team provides an all-encompassing service to our clients. Upon opening, nouveau will provide alcoholic drinks alongside their exclusive menu, which we are sure will be a roaring success with locals.

We extend our congratulations to nouveau in their exciting new business venture, and we look forward to witnessing its success in Northern Ireland’s thriving hospitality scene.
