Dionne Darragh, of O’Reilly Stewart Solicitors was instructed to investigate injuries sustained by our client, following a Road Traffic Accident in 2019.
On the date of this accident, our client was the rider of a motorbike. As our client approached a bend in the road two vehicles appeared to be blocking the road. Our client took evasive action however the collision was unavoidable.
As a result, our client sustained a fracture his right hip and deformity to his right knee and leg. Additionally, our client suffered psychological injuries and was unable to work for a period of time as a result of the accident.
Dionne Darragh of O’Reilly Stewart sought independent medical evidence from consultants in emergency medicine, orthopaedic surgery, psychiatry, radiology, plastic surgery and trauma.
High Court proceedings were issued and following lengthy settlement negotiations, liability was agreed on a split liability basis and £200,000 was awarded to our client in advance of Trial.
