Dionne Darragh, Director, O’Reilly Stewart Solicitors acted on behalf of a client who sustained serious injuries and loss when an oncoming vehicle collided into their stationary vehicle after they had broken down on the main road.
As a result of the collision, our client suffered serious injuries including: an undisplaced nose fracture causing permanent irregularities, soft tissue injuries to his neck and shoulder, post concussional syndrome and permanent tinnitus. Our client also endured lacerations to the face. These lacerations had serious cosmetic significance to our client as they were unable to be remedied with cosmetic surgery.
The injuries our client suffered from the accident, had both serious physical and psychological impact on them and caused continued ramifications on their everyday life.
On behalf of our client, O’Reilly Stewart secured independent medical evidence from a Consultant ENT Surgeon, Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
O’Reilly Stewart issued High Court Proceedings however we were able to resolve this matter within two years of receiving the client’s initial instructions. A £50,000.00 settlement was negotiated for our client.
